ART FOR LIFE CELEBRATE WED 2018
Environmental concerns are at the front burner of national and international discourse with major emphasis on increasing awareness among individuals, corporate bodies and other institutions and
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (WED) is one of the most effective channels through which awareness is spread globally on the Environment every year. This year, the host country is India and the theme is ‘BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION’ – if you can’t reuse it, refuse it.
Plastic has a lot of valuable use but the continuous dependence on Single-use or disposable plastic is very dangerous because of its huge environmental Consequences. Plastics contain a number of chemicals which are toxic. According to UNEP, every year up to 13 million tons of Plastic leak into oceans affecting Marine life. Also the plastic that ends up in the oceans, circle the earth four times in a single year and can persist for up to 1000 years before it fully disintegrates.
